  Hypothetical Question...

  i was just thinking that the org has said lots of outrageous things over it's history and most jws just continue onward without a second thought.

  so my question is what do you think would have to be said from the platform or wt to get people to get up and walk out immediately?

  my wife is taking a literature course at a local college.

  this was her final topic of the semester: why rational people buy into conspiracy theories?i automatically thought of this site and of jws.

  from the watchtower november 15 study edition.. 19 when we are being represented in public prayer, we need to display reverential "fear of god.

  " (1 pet 2:17) there may be a proper time and place for some actions that would be inappropriate at a christian meeting.

  (eccl 3:1) for instance, suppose someone sought to have all in a group link arms or hold hands during prayer.

  OK , dropoffyourkeylee; The annual meeting, that sound about right

  Athanasius: Yes as I mention it was in the 70's.

  So I'm sure it was the annual meeting that the Anointed sister was invited too and

  not a spacial meeting for the Anointed. That makes sense.

  Maybe a JW myth. But i thought it happen in the 70's and only selected

  Anointed from all over the world. If I'm not mistaken there were a Anointed sister

  in my old congregation back in the 70's that was invited. I have been out since 1987 and

  my mind become foggy some times.

  When Jesus warned his followers against hypocrisy, each of those signs

  fits the GB. I wonder, who do they believe Jesus was talking about.

  We need your money, your time and your blood, but we are not breaking

  your back with heavy, cumbersome loads. We would be out out there with you,

  but we have more important work to do. We are the GB so people need to see us

  and what we(GB) are accomplishing. WE are the GB, our sh--t don't smell and we

  walk on water, so greet us with respect.

  Who have heard of Bacha Bazi, a sick culture.

  islam, i don't know about this religion.. the practice of bacha bazi , "boy play.. rampant sexual abuse of children has long been a problem in afghanistan, particularly among armed commander who dominate much of the rural landscape and can bully the population.. an american soldiers, lance cpl.

  gregory buckley told his father, from his bunk in southern afghanistan, he could hear the afghan police officers sexually abusing boys they had brought to the base.

  at night we can hear them screaming, but we're not allowed to do anything about it.

  Divergent: I don't get it, "I understand those who were subjected to abuse become

  abusers themselves". What I don't understand do they culture come before the

  words in the Quran? The Quran speaks against Bacha Bazi, men sleeping with

  boys, in fact it speaks against sex before marriage.
